CSCC – an on campus church group for students at the University of South Carolina.
Sunday On-Campus Worship for the Spring 2026 semester (begins January 11th) is weekly at 7:00 p.m. in Russell House room 303. CSCC also serves students via personal Bible studies with our campus minister, tailored to the individual student needs or interests. Students may contact Campus Minister Randy Gore to set up a personal Bible study, or for more info.
CSCC exists to glorify Christ through the lives of Carolina students with worship, Bible Study, service, relationships, and Godly social interaction. We are united in Christ but diverse in ethnicity, interests, and backgrounds. CSCC’s intent is to be counter-cultural as we emphasize the love, faith, and lifestyle found in God’s Word. Beliefs are sought in the Bible only rather than any denominational or cultural worldviews.
Other activities
- GodChat – this is a weekly small group time of Bible study, discussion, and encouragement held on campus during the semester. For Fall 2025, there is a Girls GodChat on Thursday nights, led by our female ministry leader, Sarah Wilson. Guys GodChat is on Monday nights, led by CSCC minister, Randy.
- Service to others – CSCC does projects to help the homeless in Columbia. Students also sometimes work with children at a local shelter and visit elderly folks to encourage and learn from them.
- Fun and Fellowship – throughout the school year, CSCC will host various activities such as hiking trips, dinners, and game nights.

More about CSCC
Christ’s Student Church Carolina is a ministry on the USC campus that is here to worship God and serve with students, with the purpose to glorify Christ through the lives of Carolina students. All students are welcome to participate, regardless of background, whether Christian or not, as we want to share Christ, His Word, and His love with others, and be Godly citizens in the Carolina community. CSCC is a church of Christ on campus that facilitates weekly worship on Sunday as taught in the Scriptures (Luke 24:1-7, Acts 20:7, I Corinthians 11:23-26). CSCC is simply Christian, believers in Christ, disciples of Jesus who continue learning His will, as the church is seen in the New Testament. CSCC is not Protestant, Catholic, or Orthodox, but Christian with none of these other religious designations needed or desired, as that is how Christ’s church began and is revealed throughout the New Testament Scriptures. “They met with the church and taught many people, and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch (Acts 11:26).”
